Defiance store sells big-winning Ohio Lottery scratch-off

DEFIANCE, OH – A lucky Ohio Lottery player won $50,000 on the Billion scratch-off after purchasing their ticket at Short Stop, located at 822 N Clinton St in Defiance.

After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings of 28%, the winner will take home approximately $36,000.

Billion is a $50 scratch-off game featuring a top prize of $1 million per year for 20 years. As of Feb. 25, three top prizes remain unclaimed.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education across the state.
