EDGEMOOR, Del. — The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Governor Printz Boulevard and South Stuyvesant Drive, according to authorities.

The incident occurred on September 12, 2024, when the victim’s vehicle was stopped at a red traffic light. An unknown suspect approached, opened the vehicle’s door, and struck the victim in the head with a handgun while threatening to shoot. The suspect stole the victim’s property before fleeing in a small SUV driven by an accomplice, police said.

The first suspect is described as a light-skinned male, possibly Hispanic, while the second suspect, who drove the SUV, is described as a black male. Both suspects were armed, but no additional information about the vehicle or surveillance footage is currently available.

Detectives from the Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit are leading the investigation and have asked anyone with information to contact Detective R. Strecker at (302) 365-8413 or reach out to Delaware Crime Stoppers.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to gather more details.
