Detectives seek suspects in violent Silver Spring home invasion

GAITHERSBURG, MD – Montgomery County detectives are searching for two suspects involved in a violent home invasion robbery that left a man seriously injured in Silver Spring earlier this month.

Investigators said the attack occurred in the early morning hours of November 12 in the 800 block of Orchard Way.

According to police, the victim was assaulted outside his residence before being forced back into his home, where the suspects demanded cash.

Victim hospitalized after early morning assault

Detectives reported that the victim was leaving his house when two unidentified male suspects struck him in the head multiple times.

The suspects then dragged the man inside, where they continued their assault while demanding money.

The victim complied, and the attackers fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He was later transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

Police appeal for public assistance

The Montgomery County Department of Police Major Crimes Division – Robbery Section – is leading the investigation.

Tips may be submitted anonymously, and police said community cooperation is crucial in helping bring the assailants to justice.
