DUI Hit-and-Run Leads to Arrest in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, MD – In the early hours of Friday, Cumberland City Police responded to a hit-and-run crash on Greene St.

Aaron Joseph Borho, 27, of Fort Ashby, WV, was arrested after officers found him with a heavily damaged Lexus passenger vehicle crashed into a snow bank.

Borho, suspected of driving under the influence, had reportedly struck a house and a road sign before the final crash.

The collisions caused significant property damage. Borho was field tested, arrested for DUI, and issued several traffic citations before being released pending his trial in District Court.

Charges include driving under the influence of alcohol, negligent driving, reckless driving, and failure to report damage in hit-and-run incidents.
