Beauty store theft under investigation after suspects flee with stolen goods in Montgomery County

SILVER SPRING, MD — Two women walked into an Ulta Beauty store on Columbia Pike Sunday afternoon, browsed for several minutes, then allegedly made off with merchandise — and now Montgomery County detectives are asking for help to find them.

The incident unfolded around 4:10 p.m. at the Ulta Beauty in the 15700 block of Columbia Pike, where two women, described as White and dressed in dark clothing, reportedly entered the store, concealed merchandise, and left without paying. Surveillance images released show the suspects entering and moving through the store calmly before exiting.

The Montgomery County Department of Police’s 3rd District Patrol Investigations Unit has launched a theft investigation and is working to identify the women involved. Images from store cameras show one of the women wearing a beige baseball cap and dark zip-up hoodie, while the other appears in all-black attire.

Authorities say the pair left the store immediately after the theft. It remains unclear how much merchandise was taken or whether the suspects left on foot or used a vehicle.

Crime Solvers of Montgomery County is offering a cash reward for tips that lead to an arrest. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $10,000.
