Egg Harbor Township, NJ – The Egg Harbor Township Police Department has issued a series of traffic advisories for the week of January 29th through February 4th, impacting several roads in the area.

Starting Monday, aerial work will be conducted along sections of Cates Avenue and West Jersey Avenue. This work will necessitate alternating traffic patterns on these roadways. Concurrently, road work will take place on Atlas Lane near Sycamore Avenue.

On Tuesday, drivers should be aware of a lane shift on Tilton Road near the bridge over the Atlantic City Expressway.

Additionally, a long-term traffic update has been provided regarding Somers Point-Mays Landing Road. This road has been closed since January 26th, from Steelmanville Road to English Creek Avenue, due to the reconstruction of Bridge EH-29. The detour, implemented for this infrastructure project, is expected to last about one year.

The Egg Harbor Township Police Department advises drivers to exercise caution in these areas and comply with all posted signage. The department appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation as these roadwork projects are carried out to maintain and enhance the township’s transportation infrastructure.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan their travel routes accordingly and allow additional time for these temporary traffic changes.
