Employee in Cheapeake shot during attempted robbery

Chesapeake, VA – On Thursday at 11:38 AM, Chesapeake Police officers responded to a reported shooting at a business located in the 4300 block of Indian River Road. The incident involved an attempted robbery during which a suspect shot an employee.

The victim received first aid on-site before being transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene on foot and remains at large.
