Fatal Accident in Seat Pleasant Takes Life of Bowie Resident

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. – A man from Bowie has died following a two-vehicle crash in Prince George’s County on Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Central Avenue and Bright Seat Road in Seat Pleasant. They found 69-year-old Zachery Cummings suffering from trauma injuries. Cummings was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

The driver of the second vehicle was luckily not injured.

The crash, which occurred in the westbound lanes of Central Avenue, remains under investigation. If anyone has any information, please contact the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit at 301-731-4422.
