Man killed in e-bike crash on Pennsylvania Avenue in District Heights

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD – A man riding an e-bike was struck and killed in a crash Wednesday evening along Pennsylvania Avenue in District Heights, prompting a fatal collision investigation by Prince George’s County Police.

The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. near the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Walters Lane. Officers responded to reports of a crash and found the e-bike rider, an adult male, unresponsive at the scene. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

Preliminary findings indicate the driver involved in the collision was traveling in the southbound lanes of Pennsylvania Avenue when the crash occurred. The driver remained at the scene and was not injured.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld until his family has been notified.

The case is being investigated by the department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward by contacting investigators directly or through anonymous tip lines.
