Toms River, NJ – Music, fireworks, and family fun take center stage Tuesday night as Toms River’s Summer Concert Series wraps up with a free live performance by The Benjamins at Shelter Cove Beach, followed by a fireworks display over the Bay.
The event, hosted by Mayor Maurice “Mo” Rodrick and Toms River Recreation, kicks off at 7 p.m. at Shelter Cove on Bay Avenue. The township is encouraging early arrival as crowds are expected to pack the beach for the season’s final summer celebration. Parking will be available at Shelter Cove and at High School East, with free shuttle service to the venue running from 6 to 10 p.m.
Boaters are welcome to anchor in the Cove to catch the concert from the water, and cyclists are urged to ride in to help ease traffic congestion. Attendees are reminded to bring chairs and blankets but leave pets, alcohol, and smoking products at home. Drones are not permitted.
The Benjamins, a popular New Jersey-based cover band, will headline the show, playing a wide range of rock and pop hits. After the performance, fireworks will light up the night sky above the water, providing a finale for the township’s free summer concert series.
Food and drink will be available on-site from local vendors, including Kona Ice of Jersey Shore and a specialty food truck.
Officials note that any weather-related cancellations will be posted by noon on the Toms River Township Facebook page. No street parking is permitted along Bay Avenue, and enforcement will be in effect throughout the evening.
