BALTIMORE, M.D. — A flood watch has been issued for Baltimore City and surrounding areas, remaining in effect until 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, according to the Office of Emergency Management.

Officials warn that rising water levels and rapidly changing flow rates during a flood may create dangerous conditions. Residents, visitors, and commuters are urged to remain alert and monitor local news for real-time updates.

“Please be advised that a FLOOD WATCH has been issued for multiple areas including Baltimore City, that will be in effect until 10:00 PM Saturday, July 19,” the alert stated.

The city is also encouraging the public to sign up for BMORE ALERT, Baltimore’s mass emergency notification system. To register, individuals can text BMOREALERT to 888777 to receive emergency alerts directly.

Emergency officials stress the importance of staying informed as weather conditions develop.
