Four teens charged in $45,000 vandalism of Allentown’s Lights in the Parkway display

Allentown, PA – The Allentown Police Department announced that four individuals have been arrested in connection with extensive vandalism at the city’s popular Lights in the Parkway holiday display, which caused an estimated $45,000 in damage to light fixtures and park property in December.

Police said the destruction occurred overnight between December 13 and December 14, 2025, inside Lehigh Parkway. Several decorative light fixtures, a portable toilet, and other park structures were damaged. Following a detailed investigation involving witness interviews and evidence review, detectives determined that four suspects acted together to commit the vandalism.

One adult, Daniel Weaver, 18, of Lower Macungie, was charged with criminal mischief exceeding $5,000 and criminal conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, both third-degree felonies. Three 17-year-old males—two from Salisbury Township and one from Lower Macungie—face the same charges in juvenile court.
