TOMS RIVER, NJ – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has rolled out two new limited-time menu items — the Smash Burger Taco and the Hot Chocolate Frost — as part of its winter value lineup, giving guests more ways to snack and save. The fast-casual chain, located along Route 37 in Toms River and at participating locations nationwide, will offer the new items beginning Wednesday, January 7, through March 3.
The Smash Burger Taco, starting at $3.49, brings together Freddy’s signature steakburger flavor in a handheld twist inspired by a viral social media trend. The item features a grilled flour tortilla filled with a thin-pressed steakburger patty, melted American cheese, crisp lettuce, and Freddy’s zesty Jalapeño Fry Sauce.
“For guests who crave that signature Freddy’s flavor in a fun, snack-sized form, the Smash Burger Taco is the perfect option,” said Rick Petralia, Freddy’s Director of Menu Strategy & Innovation. “It combines everything fans love about our classic steakburger — premium beef, crispy edges, and bold flavor — all wrapped in a warm tortilla.”
To complement the savory new offering, Freddy’s is also introducing the Hot Chocolate Frost, a winter-inspired dessert crafted with Freddy’s freshly churned vanilla frozen custard, Ghirardelli® Hot Cocoa Powder, and marshmallow cream. Each Frost is topped with whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa for a seasonal finish.
Guests looking for smaller treats can also enjoy $2 mini Frosts, including returning fan favorites Lemon Cream and Orange Cream, available for a limited time.
The new Smash Burger Taco and Hot Chocolate Frost are available via drive-thru, dine-in, or pickup and delivery through the Freddy’s app and website at freddys.com, where customers can also join Freddy’s Rewards for exclusive offers and points toward future purchases.
