Man shot multiple times inside Frederick County home as deputies search for suspects
FREDERICK, MD – A 21-year-old man is recovering after being shot multiple times inside a Frederick County home Sunday night, as authorities search for several suspects who fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
Deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 6600 block of Seagull Court on November 2 for a report of an assault in progress. The call was quickly upgraded to a shooting.
First responders arrived to find the victim inside the residence suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest, leg, and hand. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital and was listed in stable condition as of Monday.
A preliminary investigation indicates that multiple suspects were involved in the shooting and left the area in a vehicle before deputies arrived. No suspect descriptions have been released, and no arrests have been made.
The incident led to a significant police presence in the neighborhood Sunday night as investigators canvassed the scene and spoke with residents. Detectives continue to work to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting and are seeking assistance from the public.
