FRONT ROYAL, VA – Brandon Jones was shocked to discover his $100,000 win in Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle, making him one of seven second-tier winners in the highly anticipated annual drawing.

When the Virginia Lottery announced the winning ticket numbers on January 1, Jones initially doubted his luck. After checking his ticket, #404211, purchased at the 7-Eleven on Winchester Road in Marshall, he realized it was a match. The other six $100,000 winners purchased tickets in Amelia, Charlottesville, Midlothian, Tazewell, Woodstock, and Yorktown.

Jones, who works as a security officer, plans to use his winnings to pay bills and support his family. The raffle’s five $1 million-winning tickets were sold in Ashburn, Fishersville, Henrico, Herndon, and Moneta.
