Front yard becomes fatal crash site for Maryland driver

BRANDYWINE, Md. — A 48-year-old Hughesville man died Friday evening after his vehicle left the roadway and crashed in a front yard along Brandywine Road, Prince George’s County Police said.

Officers responded around 7 p.m. to the 15500 block of Brandywine Road for reports of a single-vehicle collision.

The driver, identified as Gregory Wilson, was transported to a hospital, where he died a short time later.

According to investigators, Wilson was traveling eastbound when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control and the vehicle left the road.
