GEORGETOWN, Del. — Three people face felony drug charges after a search warrant executed in Georgetown resulted in multiple arrests and the seizure of drugs, cash, and paraphernalia, Delaware State Police said Wednesday.
On July 29, members of the Sussex County Drug Unit, Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, and Georgetown Police Department searched a property in the 20000 block of Savannah Road following an investigation into suspected drug distribution by Gary Jefferson, 52, and Paul Sample, 54.
Authorities detained 18 people during the operation, ultimately arresting Jefferson, Sample, and Jamie Reed, 26, of Milford. Investigators recovered $723 in suspected drug proceeds, 0.19 grams of crack cocaine, 182 prescription pills of various types, a digital scale, and drug paraphernalia.
Reed faces multiple felony counts, including seven charges of possession with intent to deliver, along with tiered possession charges. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $24,500 secured bond. Jefferson and Sample were charged with felony drug offenses and released on unsecured bonds of $1,500 and $3,500, respectively.
Five additional individuals were arrested on misdemeanor offenses or outstanding warrants, while the others were released without incident.
