Cleveland woman wins $500K Cashword scratch-off prize

CLEVELAND, OH – A Cleveland resident has become the latest big lottery winner after hitting the $500,000 top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s $10 Cashword scratch-off game.

The winning ticket was sold at Giant Eagle #1263, located at 15325 Edgecliff Avenue in Cleveland.

After state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, the winner will take home $360,000.

The $500,000 Cashword game carries a top prize of half a million dollars. As of August 27, two top prizes remain unclaimed.

Since its creation in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to support education statewide.
