$100K Powerball ticket sold at Phoenixville GIANT as jackpot soars past $875 million
Phoenixville, PA — One lucky Powerball® ticket buyer in Chester County is holding a $100,000 winning ticket from Saturday’s drawing, purchased at the GIANT supermarket in Phoenixville, as the multi-state jackpot climbs to an estimated $875 million.
The winning ticket was sold at GIANT, located at 700 Nutt Road in Phoenixville Borough. It matched four of the five white balls — 13, 14, 26, 28, and 44 — plus the red Powerball 7. The prize was doubled to $100,000 thanks to the Power Play® option. Without it, the ticket would have been worth $50,000.
GIANT will receive a $500 bonus from the Pennsylvania Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
The Power Play multiplier for the December 6 drawing was 2. Over 89,000 other Powerball tickets purchased in Pennsylvania also won prizes in the drawing, with more than 19,000 of those using Power Play.
Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize. The Pennsylvania Lottery urges players to sign the back of their ticket immediately and follow claim procedures available at palottery.com.
The Powerball jackpot has now soared to an estimated $875 million annuity value — or a lump-sum cash value of $403.6 million — for tonight’s drawing.
