GOLDSBORO, NC – On Thursday morning, gunfire was heard around 8:34 a.m. on the 900 block of Hugh Street.
Responding officers discovered a 23-year-old male with multiple gunshot injuries.
Emergency services transported the injured individual to UNC Health Wayne.
However, due to the severity of his wounds, he was later transferred to ECU Health Medical Center for advanced care.
The Goldsboro Police Department asked anyone with relevant information to come forward by contacting either 919-580-4241 or 919-705-6572. The case remains open.
