Armed robbery suspects caught on camera as police release images in DC holdup
Washington, DC — Surveillance cameras captured the moments after an armed robbery unfolded on a Northwest street, as police now turn to the public for help identifying the suspects involved.
The incident occurred around 9:55 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of New Jersey Avenue Northwest, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Investigators said multiple suspects approached a victim, and one displayed a handgun while demanding property. The suspects then took the victim’s belongings before fleeing the area.
Police released updated photos of the suspects taken from nearby surveillance cameras in an effort to generate leads in the case.
No arrests have been announced.
Authorities are asking anyone who recognizes the individuals or has information about the incident to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
