Gunman on the loose after deadly shooting in Baltimore

Man dies after West North Avenue shooting in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD — A 31-year-old man who was shot on a West Baltimore street Friday afternoon has died from his injuries, and police are asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible.

On September 26 at approximately 4:16 p.m., officers from the Western District responded to a call for a shooting in the 1200 block of West North Avenue. When they arrived, they found Virgil Holland suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Holland was transported to a nearby hospital where he remained in critical condition. He died from his injuries the following day, on September 27.

No arrests have been announced, and investigators have not released any suspect descriptions. The case is being treated as a homicide.
