Gunman shoots man in the leg on Brooklyn street before fleeing

Brooklyn, NY – A 23-year-old man was shot in the leg Monday afternoon in Crown Heights, police said.

The shooting happened around 1:55 p.m. in front of 261 Buffalo Avenue. Investigators said an unidentified individual fired a gun, striking the victim in his right leg.

Emergency crews rushed the man to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

The gunman fled the scene on foot, heading northbound on Buffalo Avenue. Detectives are canvassing the area for surveillance footage and witnesses.
