Head-on crash near Atlantic City Airport leaves three seriously injured

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – A head-on collision on Tilton Road near Atlantic City Airport sent three people to the hospital with serious injuries Thursday, police said.

The crash happened around 11:56 a.m. when a 2008 Mercedes C300 driven by 20-year-old Taniya Deal of Atlantic City crossed the center line and slammed into a 2019 Toyota Tacoma driven by 66-year-old Stephen Bouchard of Egg Harbor City, according to the Township of Hamilton Police Department.

Bouchard was flown by helicopter to AtlantiCare – City Division. Deal and her passenger, 30-year-old Shayniyah Reynolds of Atlantic City, were transported by ambulance to the same hospital.

Tilton Road was shut down for several hours while investigators reconstructed the crash.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including police departments from Galloway and Egg Harbor Township, the New Jersey State Police, Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office, Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, airport and local fire departments, as well as EMS and rescue squads from across the area.

The incident remains under investigation.
