Homeless Man Found Dead, Stabbed in Queens

QUEENS, N.Y. – A 30-year-old man was fatally stabbed and another wounded early Friday after a violent altercation in Brooklyn, police said.

The victim, identified as Joel Joselin Penalo-Paredes, was taken by private means to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center around 12:54 a.m. with a stab wound to the right armpit, according to authorities. He was later pronounced dead.

A 25-year-old man, who suffered a stab wound to the stomach, was also transported to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Investigators determined the stabbing took place near Ridgewood Avenue and Crescent Street in the 75th Precinct, before both victims were brought to the hospital.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
