Hospital Receives 10,000 Face Masks from Chinese Student at Donovan Catholic

TOMS RIVER-A student of Donovan Catholic High School who returned home to China to be with his family during the COVID-19 pandemic has just sent 10,000 protective facemasks back to the states to help with the local response to the outbreak.

According to Donovan Catholic High High School, “Chenxi Mark Bao is a Junior student at Donovan Catholic High School who returned home to be with his family in China. Last week Chenxi’s family sent ten thousand face masks to Donovan Catholic to help our community”

With Donovan not in the building and teaching virtually, the administration contacted Richard Pallamary, VP of Development at Community Medical Center, who was grateful for the masks.

“Today, Rob District from Community Medical Center came to DCHS to pick up the masks. Kevin Downing and Nick Maalouf worked side by side, six feet apart loading the masks to be delivered to the hospital,” the school said. “Thank you to the Chenxi Mark Bao’s family and their generous donation to our community. Once a Griffin always a Griffin! Community Medical Center.”
