Jackson Liberty Opens Football Season With Shutout Win

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Jackson Liberty opened its football season with a dominant 34-0 victory over Hamilton West on Thursday, fueled by a balanced offensive attack and strong defensive performance.

Quarterback Mason Ciccariello led Jackson Liberty with 153 passing yards, completing 12 of 15 attempts. He connected with wide receiver James Dressler for a 7-yard touchdown in the first quarter, setting the tone for the Lions. Ciccariello also contributed a 9-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter.

Running back Corleil Thomas powered Jackson Liberty’s ground game, amassing 91 rushing yards on 14 carries and scoring two touchdowns. Thomas found the end zone on a 4-yard run in the second quarter and added another score in the first.

Hamilton West struggled to gain offensive momentum, finishing the game with only 42 passing yards and 46 rushing yards. Quarterback Matt Brescio completed just one of eight passes, connecting with wide receiver Luke Bruch for a 42-yard gain.

Jackson Liberty added to its lead with a 5-yard touchdown run from Corzeek Palms late in the third quarter. The Lions’ defense held Hamilton West scoreless, forcing two interceptions and limiting their opponents to three first downs.

Jackson Liberty advances to 1-0 on the season, while Hamilton West falls to 0-1.
