Jackson Township Announces Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Visit by Santa

by Phil Stilton

Jackson Township is proud to invite residents and visitors to gather for one of the community’s most cherished traditions as the annual Christmas Tree Lighting takes place on Saturday, December 6th at 4:00 p.m. on the grounds of Jackson Town Hall, located at 95 West Veterans Highway.

Mayor Jennifer L. Kuhn and the Township Council encourage families to join in this joyful kickoff to the holiday season, which continues to grow in attendance each year and remains a highlight of the township’s community calendar.

The celebration will begin with a special appearance by Santa, who will be greeting families from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. The Santa meet-and-greet—one of the most beloved components of the event—offers children and families the opportunity to share holiday wishes and capture memorable photos. Volunteers will be on hand to assist with line flow and ensure a smooth experience for all.

Following Santa’s visit, attendees will enjoy musical performances featuring the uplifting voices of the Jackson Baptist Church Choir and entertainment from DJ J Pro, providing continuous music as crowds gather for the festive tree lighting.

Township recreation staff and event personnel have coordinated an evening designed to keep the holiday spirit flowing, with activities and performances leading right up to the moment the Christmas tree is illuminated. Public Works crews have prepared the display area with decorations and lighting elements throughout the week to ensure the township grounds are ready for a vibrant seasonal turnout.

Parking will be available on-site, and minor traffic adjustments may occur near the municipal complex during peak arrival times. Residents are encouraged to follow Jackson Township’s official social media channels for updates and additional event information. Further details may also be obtained through the Township Recreation Office via the contact information listed on event materials.

Mayor Kuhn and the Township Council look forward to welcoming the community as Jackson comes together to celebrate the start of the holiday season.
