Juvenile charged after vehicle burglary spree in Evesham neighborhoods
Evesham Township, NJ – A juvenile has been charged in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries reported last month in two Evesham Township neighborhoods following a multi agency investigation, police said.
Patrol officers responded January 18 to Arrowhead Estates and Devonforde Estates after receiving multiple reports of vehicle burglaries. An investigation conducted by Evesham Township Police officers and detectives led to the identification of a juvenile suspect.
On February 13, authorities executed a search warrant on Line Street in Camden with assistance from the Camden County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team, the Cherry Hill Police Department and the Westville Police Department.
During the search, investigators recovered evidence from the residence. The juvenile was subsequently charged with third degree receiving stolen property involving a motor vehicle.
Because the suspect is a juvenile, the name has not been released.
Police said the investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the incident or other recent vehicle burglaries or thefts is encouraged to contact the Evesham Township Police Department.
A string of neighborhood vehicle burglaries has now led to charges against a juvenile suspect as investigators continue to examine the case.
