NEW ROCHELLE, NY – On last Monday, at approximately 9:33 a.m., the New Rochelle Police Officers rushed to 81 Lefevres Lane at Five Islands Park after receiving a report of a sexual assault.
A young female victim was located, treated for injuries at a local hospital, and detailed being followed by an unknown male from Main Street to the park.
She reported being assaulted before an intervening adult female caused the suspect to flee.
By 2:00 p.m. the same day, New Rochelle Police Detectives located the suspect near New Rochelle High School. A 15-year-old male juvenile was arrested without any complications.
Detectives have since linked him to another assault on Soundview Street in New Rochelle on August 4th, involving another female juvenile. In both incidents, the victims did not know the attacker.
