Baltimore man arrested in juvenile sex trafficking investigation by Crimes Against Children Unit

BALTIMORE, MD — A registered sex offender has been arrested following an investigation into the trafficking and sexual exploitation of multiple female juveniles in the Baltimore area, police announced Thursday.

Miracle Elendu, 28, of Baltimore, was taken into custody and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center. He is accused of soliciting, recruiting, sexually assaulting, and trafficking several underage girls in and around Baltimore County, according to detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit.

The investigation began in September as a joint operation between Baltimore County police and the FBI Baltimore Field Office’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force. Authorities believe Elendu may have targeted additional victims who have not yet been identified, based on the method he used to initiate contact with the juveniles.
