27-year-old man shot and killed in broad daylight on Maisel Court in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – A fatal shooting in the middle of the day on October 1 claimed the life of a 27-year-old man in the 2400 block of Maisel Court, as city homicide detectives work to track down the person or persons responsible.

The victim, identified as O’Shea Smith, was gunned down shortly after 1:11 p.m., according to the Baltimore Police Department. Officers responded to the scene in Southwest Baltimore where Smith was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead shortly after.

No arrests have been made, and police have not publicly released information about potential suspects or a motive. Investigators are reviewing evidence and continuing to seek tips from the public.
