Arrest made in 2024 Kingsville roadside murder after yearlong probe
KINGSVILLE, MD – A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with a 2024 homicide in Kingsville where a victim was found shot to death along Bel Air Road.
Baltimore County Police announced the arrest of Quevin Pixola-Lara in the killing of 33-year-old Jose Caceres-Santos.
On Jan. 1, 2024, detectives responded to the area of Bel Air Road in Kingsville after a motorist reported a body lying off the shoulder of the roadway. When officers arrived, they located Caceres-Santos, who was pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
Pixola-Lara has been charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree murder. He is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond.
Police credited the FBI Baltimore Field Office, the Transnational Anti-Gang Task Force in Guatemala and the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force for their assistance in the investigation, apprehension and extradition of the suspect.
The charges are accusations, and Pixola-Lara is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
