If you want to start your day feeling old, here’s a fact you can sink your teeth into. Kurt Cobain’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain is now older than the legendary Nirvana front man was the day he decided to end his life.
Frances Cobain is now 28 years old. Her father Kurt was 27 at the time of his death. Cobain was the lead singer for the band Nirvana whose hits include “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, “All Apologies” and “Lithium”.
Nirvana went from playing small clubs around America to breakout stardom equaling that of the Beatles in the 1960s.
On April 8th, 1994, Cobain’s body was discovered in his Seattle home. His body was found by electrician who arrived at his home to install a home security system. Cobain’s body laid motionless beside a shot gun. The medical examiner found a high concentration of diazepam and heroin in his body.
Signs of Cobain’s demise became evident a month earlier when he locked himself in a bedroom after his wife Courtney Love, friend and record company executives tried to stage an intervention.
He checked into a recover center two weeks later, but climbed a six foot tall fence, leaving the facility and flew back to his home in Seattle.
