Latrobe man charged with homicide in fatal stabbing of 59-year-old woman inside apartment

Latrobe, PA – A 54-year-old man is facing homicide charges in the fatal stabbing of a woman whose body was found inside her Jefferson Street apartment over the weekend, Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli announced Wednesday.

Glenn Whittier, of Latrobe, has been charged with criminal homicide and tampering with evidence in connection with the death of 59-year-old Pamela Puskar. Investigators believe Puskar was killed during the early morning hours of Saturday, November 23.

Her body was discovered Sunday morning inside her apartment at the Loyalhanna Apartments complex. Surveillance footage reviewed by detectives reportedly shows Whittier leaving the building around 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Over the past several days, Latrobe Police and Westmoreland County Detectives collected evidence and conducted interviews that led to Whittier’s arrest. An autopsy performed Monday by Dr. Jennifer Hammers at the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Puskar died from multiple stab wounds. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Whittier was arraigned on Wednesday and denied bail. He remains in custody. Authorities have not released further details regarding motive or the relationship between the suspect and victim.

The investigation is ongoing, and detectives are asking anyone with surveillance footage or information related to the case to contact the Westmoreland County Detective Bureau.
