LEXINGTON, SC – A police presence in the Westbrook neighborhood has been determined to be in response to an apparent suicide, police here said. Chief Terrence Green let the town of Lexington community to know that detectives have begun a death investigation with the assistance of the Lexington County Coroner’s Office. At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a call of a suicide that occurred inside a residence on Ivy Hill Court within the Westbrook neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers found a woman, age 36, who was deceased. This investigation is ongoing and more information may be released at a later time.
