Man Arrested After Beating Woman, Spraying Disinfectant into Her Mouth

JACKSON-Police haven’t released the man’s name, but say a man was arrested on August 31st in the Cassville section of the township after allegedly beating a woman, spraying disinfectant in her mouth and then covering her head with a pillow.

Police reported: 

At 1040 hours, Police Officers Matthew Buono, Brad Reider and Chris Wasnesky responded to a residence on Cassville Road on the report of a dispute. The investigation resulted in the officers discovering that a female subject had been physically assaulted by a male suspect who also allegedly struck her several times and sprayed a disinfectant spray into her mouth and covered her head with a pillow during the incident. A 55 year old male was arrested and charged with simple assault, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and terroristic threats. He was processed and later lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
