Man Arrested in Laurel for Weapon and Drug Possession

LAUREL, MD – In the early hours of Wednesday, Western District officers engaged in routine patrol observed and investigated a suspicious vehicle on the 3300 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road. Upon making contact with the sole occupant, a probable cause search was conducted.

Nnamdi Meschach Cole, a 30-year-old Laurel resident, was found in possession of a black semi-automatic handgun and a civil amount of suspected marijuana within the passenger compartment of his vehicle. Further investigation revealed that Cole is prohibited from firearm possession. Cole was subsequently arrested and charged accordingly.
