Man charged after brutal fight leads to stabbing in Laurel

Fight in Laurel ends with stabbing as suspect taken into custody

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD – A brawl along Laurel Fort Meade Road on Tuesday afternoon left one man stabbed in the torso and another under arrest, police said.

Officers rushed to the 3300 block just after 2:30 p.m. on August 19 following multiple 911 calls reporting two men fighting, with witnesses saying one was armed with a knife.

When police arrived, they found 31-year-old Terry Rodney-Jerome Hunter of Laurel holding a knife. He dropped the weapon and was taken into custody without further struggle, officials confirmed.

The 33-year-old victim was transported to a hospital with what police described as a serious injury. His condition has not been publicly updated.

Hunter has since been charged in connection with the stabbing as the investigation continues.
