Man charged on assault, resisting arrest charges

TOMS RIVER, N.J. – An Ocean County man identified as Aramis Vega is being held at the Ocean County jail following his arrest Monday on multiple charges, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest, according to jail records.

According to the inmate report, Vega faces four charges: aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer under New Jersey statute 2C:12-1B(5)(A), resisting arrest under 2C:29-2A(3)(B), obstruction of the administration of law under 2C:29-1A, and criminal trespass under 2C:18-3A. The aggravated assault and resisting arrest charges are classified as third-degree crimes, while the obstruction and trespass charges are fourth-degree offenses.
