Man Charged with Second-Degree Murder in Elma

ERIE COUNTY, NY – Frank J. Litterio, 61, of Elma, was arraigned before Erie County Court Judge Susan Eagan on charges of second-degree murder.

It is alleged that on December 13, 2023, Litterio fatally shot his intimate partner, Jill Harris, 62, with a crossbow in their West Blood Road home.

Responding to the scene at approximately 5:04 p.m., Erie County Sheriff’s Office deputies discovered Harris deceased.

Litterio was hospitalized for suspected self-inflicted wounds.

Litterio, held without bail, faces up to life imprisonment if convicted. His next court appearance is scheduled for February 13, at 9:30 a.m.
