Man critically wounded in Baltimore shooting

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 27-year-old man sustained serious injuries Tuesday afternoon after being shot on Shipview Way, prompting a response from homicide detectives due to the severity of the victim’s wounds.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired around 2:41 p.m. in the 6200 block of Shipview Way in Baltimore’s Southeast District. When officers arrived at the location, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

Medical responders provided immediate care and transported the victim to an area hospital. Authorities described the victim’s injuries as severe, leading homicide detectives to assume responsibility for the investigation.

Detectives have not provided details on possible suspects or motives.
