Man injured in early morning shooting on Pulaski Highway

ESSEX, Md. — A 43-year-old man was shot early Saturday morning in Essex, and detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, police said.

Officers from the Essex Precinct responded to the 11000 block of Pulaski Highway at approximately 5:45 a.m. for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Emergency responders transported the man to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
