Man shot dead inside Bronx apartment, police investigating

BRONX, N.Y. — A 26-year-old man was shot and killed inside a Bronx apartment Wednesday evening, police said. The incident occurred at approximately 8:32 p.m. at 671 Westchester Avenue, within the 40th Precinct and Police Service Area 7.

Officers responded to a 911 call and found the victim with a gunshot wound to the neck. Emergency Medical Services transported the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending family notification. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
