BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Police are searching for a man who allegedly groped a teenage girl in broad daylight before fleeing the scene in Bensonhurst on Saturday afternoon.

The NYPD said the 16-year-old victim was walking near Bay 13th Street and 86th Street around 2:21 p.m. when an unidentified man approached and grabbed her buttock.

The suspect then ran off in an unknown direction, leaving the victim unharmed but shaken, police said.

Police searching for suspect

Investigators described the suspect as a male with a light complexion, between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 5 feet tall, with a medium build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and a red cap. Detectives from the 62nd Precinct are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses and canvassing the area for witnesses.
