MANHATTAN, N.Y. — A 57-year-old man was stabbed in the eye with an unknown sharp object during a dispute inside the 14th Street-Union Square subway station early Saturday morning, police said.
The attack occurred around 12:46 a.m. following a verbal altercation between the victim and an unidentified suspect. After the stabbing, the suspect fled the station on foot in an unknown direction.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
