NEW YORK, NY – Police are investigating a stabbing inside a Midtown Manhattan subway station that occurred on Saturday. According to police, four suspects approached 30-year-old male victim on the southbound 4 train platform at the 59th Street-Lexington Avenue subway station. The incident happened shortly after midnight.
The victim and the suspect engaged in a brief verbal altercation that turned physical. At one point, on of the attackers pulled a knife and stabbed the man in the torso.
The suspects fled the scene.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was last listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made.
The New York City Police Department is asking anyone who can identify the suspects to contact them.
