Man Stabbed to Death on Staten Island

NEW YORK, NY – Police are investigating a deadly stabbing in the Mariners Harbor neighborhood of Staten Island this morning after an overnight stabbing death.

On Sunday, at around 10:44 PM, the police received a 911 call reporting an ongoing assault at 12 Union Avenue, which falls within the jurisdiction of the 121 Precinct.

Upon reaching the scene, officers found a 38-year-old male with several stab wounds on his body.

The victim was immediately taken to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.

At the scene, a 58-year-old male, who was considered a person of interest, was apprehended and taken into custody. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing at this time.

The identity of the deceased individual is yet to be disclosed pending notification to the family.
