Man struck and killed while walking along Bladensburg Road

Bladensburg, MD – A 20-year-old man from Gaithersburg was killed early Friday morning after being struck by a car on Bladensburg Road.

Police said the victim, identified as Chester Brandon, was found in the roadway suffering from severe injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened around 12:40 a.m. in the 3300 block of Bladensburg Road.

Investigation underway

According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, Brandon was hit by a southbound vehicle. The driver stopped immediately and cooperated with responding officers. Investigators with the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit spent several hours examining the scene to determine what led to the crash.

Police asking for witnesses
