LANCASTER COUNTY, PA – Juan Bailer, 58, residing on the 700 block of Skyline Drive, was sentenced to a prison term of 4 to 8 years on Thursday morning, following a strangulation conviction.

A jury found Bailer guilty after a two-day trial in August before Lancaster County Judge Jeffery Wright.

Evidence presented during the trial indicated that Bailer ambushed his ex-girlfriend after trailing her from a local club, subsequently strangling her until she nearly passed out.

A witness had to intervene, using a wooden bat to free the victim from Bailer’s grasp.

On September 11, 2022, at around 11:32 pm, police responded to a domestic disturbance report on the 700 block of Chestnut Street. Bailer admitted to arguing with the victim, who had visible neck injuries and claimed Bailer choked her.
